"With the resources available, we aim to match the right talents to the right projects. We strive to achieve long-term and sustainable investments. We pay attention to every detail to ensure that all of our tenants are doing well…and are making money, so the relationships between us will be sustainable with mutual benefits."
Started as a timber trading company and a Chinese traditional furniture manufacturer in 1969, Carlton was heavily involved with imports and exports from countries such as Indonesia, Africa, Japan, Thailand and China. With factories located in China and Thailand, Carlton also had great interests in designing and producing finished products. As market conditions changed, we gradually shifted our attention to commercial property investments in Hong Kong whilst maintaining sustainable timber trading operations in regions such as Mozambique, South Eastern Africa.
Although Carlton has been investing in various locations throughout Hong Kong, the majority of our core fixed-assets lie in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), an urban area in the southern part of Kowloon and part of the Yau Tsim Mong District. After the very first few property investments on Haiphong Road and Canton Road in the 1970s, Carlton has remained a consistent investor and observer of the real estate markets in the surrounding area. As TST remains predominantly a tertiary sector from colonial days to present, and is conveniently linked to China by the ferry terminal, harbour as well as trains, we believe that there are still great opportunities to be exploited within and around the area.
